Our Story
MTM Cofounders & Associates was born from the combined experience of Mercedes T. Moran and Jose R. Gomez M., two professionals who spent years navigating the tech industry from different angles. Mercedes built her career in business strategy and technology leadership, guiding companies through digital transformation and complex software initiatives. Jose honed his craft as a full-stack engineer and systems architect, shipping products across healthcare, fintech, and SaaS. They crossed paths while collaborating on an enterprise project and quickly realized they shared the same frustration: too many businesses were stuck with software that didn't fit how they actually worked.
That shared frustration became the motivation behind MTM. They saw a gap in the market: companies either hired massive agencies that treated them like ticket numbers, or they cobbled together freelancers with no long-term accountability. Mercedes and Jose set out to build something different: a studio small enough to stay hands-on, but experienced enough to deliver enterprise-quality results. The goal was simple: combine deep technical expertise with a founder's mindset, so every product starts by understanding the problem, not just writing code.
What began as project work has become something bigger. MTM stopped billing hours and started building and backing software as cofounders: an AI-first venture studio spanning healthcare, hospitality, food service, entertainment, and technology. Products like Lunanul, Luramed, Pasdiu, Dirumed, Teremu, and El Rectangle reflect the range and depth of what the team builds, from AI-powered applications to multi-location digital platforms. Through it all, the core philosophy has stayed the same: make fewer bets, invest more in each one, and stay in for the long run.

We've built an internal engineering system that pairs AI agents with senior human oversight at every step. Claude Code handles deep code reasoning and refactoring. Kiro orchestrates multi-file changes, testing, and deployment workflows. Antigravity manages our custom skill library: domain-specific capabilities tuned per product vertical (healthcare compliance, food-cost modeling, media workflows).
Every product gets automated CI/CD pipelines that run the full testing stack: unit, integration, and end-to-end. Code moves from linting and type checking through preview deploys, and nothing reaches production until the whole pipeline is green. Red never ships. AI proposes, humans approve. AI drafts, humans ship. This lets a small team move at the speed of a large one without sacrificing judgment or quality.
The result: we ship production-ready software in weeks, not months, while maintaining the craft and accountability that only comes from founders who stay in the product long-term.

The software products we cofound run on a serverless foundation, so infrastructure cost tracks real usage instead of sitting as fixed overhead. A product can serve its first user and its ten-thousandth on the same architecture: the bill grows only as adoption does, and stays near zero until there is a real base of paying customers to support it.
We ground each product's economics in its actual code, not a spreadsheet. Before a price is set, we model the real query and inference patterns the app generates, find where cost concentrates, and bound it, so "unlimited" plans stay honest and margins hold as accounts grow. Freemium tiers are designed so the free users a product carries are cheap by construction, and the constraint on growth becomes conversion, not capacity.
The result is a portfolio whose cost curve is people (support, onboarding, compliance) rather than servers. That is what lets a small studio back several products at once and stay in each one for the long run.
